Christmas is coming

Just not going to be the same without David being home...

I am thankful that I get to talk to him a few times a week on FaceBook... makes it easier to cope knowing that he is doing ok...

WOW... it's been almost a year since I said goodbye to David as he left for MEPS

What a rollercoaster of a year it has been...

He is currently at Fort Riley, KS, but his unit is set to deploy within the next month... I am so very PROUD of him... but so very scared to let him go...

I pray every single day, that God watch over all of our brave men and women who CHOOSE to serve this country.

This is David after graduation.

The ceremony was very moving... I wish I had the whole thing on video.

WOW!!!! It's been awhile since I wrote...

David graduated on March 6th!! WOW !! did he look handsome in his class A's...

He earned a Trailblazer Award for combined scores in PT, Marksmanship, combat skills, engineering skills and leadership.

I am so very proud of him!!!!

March 6.......

Barring an ice storm and them not being able to train.... He will graduate from OSUT on March 6, 2009!!!

I am so excited for that day to come. I look forward to being able to pin his Blue Infantry Cord on him during the Turning Blue Ceremony.

He called last Sunday..... he sounded GREAT!!!! They had been given their cell phones for Sunday and Monday since Monday was a holiday (MLK day).

Waiting for the call

It's Sunday at supper time... hoping that he calls today. I know it's only been 2 days, but I miss him already :)

Hoping that he is feeling better... I am finally starting to not cough quite so much...

I am so very proud of him.... I love him so much!

And just that soon it's over

I can hardly believe that it's been 2 weeks!!!

This morning, we put him back on a plane to St. Louis. I sent him a text message about 5pm, and he said they were just getting to the Fort.

Hopefully he will call on Sunday.

The changes I have witnessed are amazing!! He is a gentleman. He is much calmer and confident. I am so very proud of him.
