Life has been busy since Christmas...
It just wasn't the same without David here for Christmas... but I was able to chat with him on Facebook several times a week most weeks. And he called home about once a week.
He and his unit are currently "off the radar" on a month long mission... keeping them and all who serve our country in my prayers.
Went to my quilt retreat 2 weeks ago... of course, the snow storm of the century hit that weekend!!! We were supposed to get together to celebrate birthdays that Sunday... soooooo we are getting together today to celebrate.

Christmas is coming
Just not going to be the same without David being home...
I am thankful that I get to talk to him a few times a week on FaceBook... makes it easier to cope knowing that he is doing ok...

WOW... it's been almost a year since I said goodbye to David as he left for MEPS
What a rollercoaster of a year it has been...
He is currently at Fort Riley, KS, but his unit is set to deploy within the next month... I am so very PROUD of him... but so very scared to let him go...
I pray every single day, that God watch over all of our brave men and women who CHOOSE to serve this country.

March 6.......
Barring an ice storm and them not being able to train.... He will graduate from OSUT on March 6, 2009!!!
I am so excited for that day to come. I look forward to being able to pin his Blue Infantry Cord on him during the Turning Blue Ceremony.
He called last Sunday..... he sounded GREAT!!!! They had been given their cell phones for Sunday and Monday since Monday was a holiday (MLK day).

Waiting for the call
It's Sunday at supper time... hoping that he calls today. I know it's only been 2 days, but I miss him already :)
Hoping that he is feeling better... I am finally starting to not cough quite so much...
I am so very proud of him.... I love him so much!
